Venue Booking/ROMM Application

From today's date, a few more days (which is 21 actually) will be the exact 5 months to #eissznisweds .

I was prolly planning to change the hashtag but I have been using it since our preps started for about a year. Then I asked for opinions and my orang kuat says I should just stick to it. Don't have to make it anymore fancier. Good advice though.

On top is the photo I upload in my IG. I kurus still at this point. Not as chubby as what I am today. HAHA! Our happiness has made us both gained weight!

I am scrolling on some infos for the venue, kadi selection and ROMM Registration stuff. So here it is.

The Venue:

As you readers know (or if you have not read my blog posts, you can give a scroll), I had to change my venue plans from a CC to void deck. Not so much on the budget issues but I am unable to book it due to wedding date falls on a PH. I am sucha confuse person that can't confirm which Town Council I belong to (HAHAHA!) but after confident cause I remembered about GE 2015.

I just try my luck lah to even double check with the at the Town Council's website (Sembawang Town Council).

They were fast, called me the next day. I already knew that I can only book 150 days in advance but I wanted to enquire and confirm other information.

Deposit

I read their T&C, understand that their deposit is $500. True enough. BTB/GTB, korang standby okay the $500 deposit. Its refundable. So not to worry lah as long as you do not breach anything, your deposit will come back to you.

Price/Rates

Its cheap of course, it is on top of the deposit amount. What I got is..
Void Deck: $20/- per day
Electricity/Water: $10/- per day
So just calculate per day basis as $30/-

Confirmation from ROMM

Make sure to bring along the Email Correspondence once you have done your ROMM Registration/Application online. You will need it.

And that's just basically it. Easy peasy. Still I can't book now. Have to Apply for ROMM first which is about next week.

Moving on the ROMM.

We didn't really browse so much on which kadi we want. No pressure on Eissz because my Father told us that he will not take in as Kadi this time round for me. He had enough pressure during my sister's wedding. Eissz was super happy that he smiled ear to ear. Gosh! Bertuah budak ni.

Anyways, my Father recommended his friend Nor Razak Bin Bakar to be our Kadi. I chanced upon browsing some video online. Not bad though. But that will depend on his availability. I hope he does or I will have to look through other backups.

Yeap. So thats it for now.

Will do another post soon!

#164 Days to the Wedding

As the number of days is now #164, its about 5 months to our Wedding.

I tell you, more and more things are coming our way. People can be just irritating to you. And you wish you can just mute them! HAHAHA!

I have planned quite alot for my Dayang Dayang. Booked them early but some is just telling me things like " I'm still not sure" " I don't know if I need to work on that day" " I have exams that week" and some other wonderful excuses I'm receiving.

There is no obligations to being my Dayang Dayang. If you can't, just say NO to me. Not a hanging answer. I want committed to be Dayang Dayang. Not a 'setengah masak' kind. I don't know how else I am going to phrase all this. But oh well, I will just see over January's meeting whom comes. I have no more time to keep bugging Dayang Dayang ok. Bridesmaids are suppose to be calming me down, assist me in my plannings and all. Bt nope, making me become a Bridezilla.

On top of all these, I have to face relatives issues that is so unpleasant. I don't care whom is having a wedding before me (secara sengaja atau tidak sengaja), you spoil ours, I'll spoil yours. SIMPLE. Your ruin my party, I'll ruin yours too.

Making things even simpler in words right now (because I don't want to vent anymore anger in me because of these issues), DO NOT DEPEND ON FAMILY if you know that they are prone to just backstab you, always finding fault and always calculative. WONDERFUL! I JUST SAID EVERYTHING OUT!

Definitely, you do not want to mess with me this time. I'm just going to be straight about what I think and people just have to accept it cos its my WEDDING. Like it or not, I am already suspecting bad behaviours from the relatives here on my special day. But y'know what? Imma do the exact same thing. I don't want to have photos of people that hates me and my family. That has issues with me. So Imma make a list of people to take photos with me to my DJ for my side. Welcome to the reality. If you wanna see how bitchy I am, I will. Clapping hands. Bravo to the most recent wedding that I don;t feel like I am part of a family.

So now I think we are tying down to the color theme for my family. And will be choosing our menu and deco too by this month. In the midst of all the selection making, I have to register for our ROMM or else, I can't book the void deck. Yeap, it really disappoints me deep that CC's are not open on PH. Sadly, my birthday falls on a PH on my wedding. BIG SIGH.

My FMIL has been supporting us in so many ways now. From our hantaran gifts, to additional door gifts and the very unexpected wedding gifts for us both.

To be continued...

Satin Skinz Skincare Set

Let me update this post on the new skincare that I am trying on before making another post on the updates.

So I find that after a big switch from Lyanaz Babies Blink (my second purchase was such a disappointment) that I try on Amyera Beauty for about 2 months. Even worse I must say or maybe my expectation is already base on Lyanaz Babies Blink. HAHA! So now I'm trying on Satin Skinz Skiucare Set that comes with the Toner (FREE baybeh!), Cleanser, Day Cream and Night Cream. Slightly more in price than I usually would want to purchase but worth the try.

One thing I like is that the Cleanser is a Gel type in a bottle. Unlike other skincares that I tried is Solid Soaps. I have no issues on Soaps (no doubt they are still quite good) just that it is easier with Cleansers in a bottle type that is travel friendly. At first I find that the Rose smell was a little too strong on the cleanser because it goes up through my nostrils and to my brains! HAHAH! But it was alright, it smells really good. It will keep on reminding me of the Rose Syrup.

After washing your face with the Cleanser, Wipe your face dry and put on the Toner. Oh yah, the donwfall of the Amyera Beauty is that it doesn't come along with the Toner. So lucky me I have a spare toner that time. I realised as well that Toners are an essential when using skincares. If not, nothing will make a difference to your complexion. That's the reason why I got so happy when Satin Skinz Skincare set comes with FOC Toner.

Toner dries up and you can apply the Day Cream or Night Cream evenly. Well, I am most of the time not home, I will put over my powder once I apply the Day Cream. Only for the Day Cream yah. Night Cream should work its magic to repair your skin at night so don't put on anything else on your face. Everything from Satin Skinz Skincare Set smells of ROSE. Very Relaxing I must say.

As of now still on my first set, I noticed the pimple scares I have are diminished! Not entirely but slowly ofcos. Your skin needs to work hard too y'know.

For those whom have yet to try, try it! There are distributors in SG for Satin Skinz Skincare Sets. Happy trying ladies!

Redha

Okay, so its been a while that I lift off from my previous post.

It was hectic weeks eversince my Future Father-In-Law (FFIL) was shifted from the normal ward to the single room.

I have not write about him in my entire blog because it is pretty personal however we do hope over the years that he will recover. Whatever we asked for (doa) still can only be decided by the only One (Him).

For the past 3 years with my Fiance, including the year we got engaged, FFIL was quite healthy as in he has appetite to eat anything, he can still walk, goes to work like normal, talk and joke like normal. What I know was that by then he has undergone his 1st surgery. Okay, wondering what he is suffering right? At that moment, we only knew he suffered from brain tumor. So the surgery was successful however there is still a small tumor that doctors are unable to remove as it was very close to the brain.

Till last year, we find that he falls sick more easily and fits attacks frequently too. Half of the year was spend mostly at the hospital warded for short periods individually. Still, we have no clue what is happening. Fiance and I, we were quite sure that there is something more serious than what is seems. Asked my Future Mother-In-Law (FMIL) several times but she answered us the same thing "Everything is caused by the little tumor that can't be removed"

Pretty sure that it is more than just a
'Tumor'

We do visit FFIL when he is hospitalised but still curious as to the answers given by FMIL.

When he starts to get weaker from a stroke on his left side (Includes hands and legs) till his legs arent strong enuf, wheelchaired and the worse lastly he is bedridden.

That is when FMIL popped the secret.

FFIL suffers from Brain Cancer Stage 4. Last stage?!

Yes. It is. Only early of the year (2015), and on top of that, doctors has set an estimated life span. 3-6 months. Please know its 3-6 months that is not a confirmation. It can be longer, it can be shorter. But are we prepared at that time? NOPE. We weren't. But we were ready to hear the truth.

However it was late when we got to know about this. Why? If we knew, we wouldn't have let him go through Chemo (Oh well, he did it without us knowing). If we knew, we could have done more and discuss other possibilities to cure his cancer. Right there, I just said it. We were truly heartbroken knowing the truth that we are not able to say anything nor do anything about it. It was too late.

FMIL seek for help from different organisations to pay off the hospital bills and household bills incurred. At a point that we tried to discuss and suggested solutions but FMIL rejected the possibilities. We just adhere.

We were able to bring FFIL back home just in time for Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year and celebrating all birthdays as possible with him.

Only just 2 weeks back, things got really bad. His condition has deteriorate. He had another fits attack. After that, he was stable but weak. 1 whole week everyday we had gone over to the hospital to see him.

Not just that, FFIL had been seeing things, saying things that we understood why. Things that was weird but it meant something.

We prepared for the worst. Till to date.

We prayed that Allah will take him away peacefully when the time comes and forgiven all his mistakes. Insyaallah, Amin.

Our Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

One more tick to our list is done!

We had just settled on our pre-wed photoshoot on 3 Aug 2015 at Desaru. Thanks to the good deal we had from Expo by Miosa Couture. A JB based bridal photography company. They have a wide range of gowns that will definitely suit different individuals. Despite the "crossing the borders" from one day to another (the fitting session and comes the day itself", it was worth the wait & $$$. Some said it  was too early, but I feel it is just nice. I just want everything to settle before the wedding day itself. No rush & such.

Like the usual, we gt Bbyg to accompany us for the fitting and the photoshoot day. Waking up early in the morning for the 2 days was shockingly not difficult for any of them! Well, Bbyg usually is the most difficult one getting out of bed! So we get her to actually take some photos the whole day. Amazingly, she did pretty well! Her photos was as good! And that is how I am able to portray it here before the real thing is out.

I was glad that everything went well, despite the drizzle that stops only at 4pm that day. We still managed to wrap it up and got all the shots.

Syukur Alhamdulillah, Allah has made it a smooth one for us.

This now calls for the countdown. That is what giving me all the butterflies now.

Lyanaz Babies Blink 5 in 1 Skincare Review

Hi everyone!

Okay this is a second post for the day.

I have recently tried on a new skincare. Well, skincare are very popular amongst the Malays. (I'm one of them) Truthfully, last time I'm not a skincare person. I just use facial wash and thats it.

My dark circles ni, very dark tau. Like, susah nak hilangkan. Tried mcm serum from Body Shop lah, masks lah, under eye masks lah.. It doesn't work! Okay, memang betul susah nak hilang.

So, recommended from my Bbyg (Bestfriend) that she is trying on this skincare that I might want to try it. I am skeptical about skincare cos I have friends that splurge on this and had to suffer their skin. HAAH!

Okay, fret not, this is easy and you won't feel any burning sensation nor peeling. It even makes your skin fairer than what it was!

My skin tone ni kan, selalunye susah nak carik the right powder and foundation as well as concealers. Cos, my skin color is kuning2 langsat. Usually, I will go slight darker or whiter. But then again kan, nanti boleh nampak mcm petak2 of bedak due to the uneven skin color. In any case, my skin also ada breakouts at times, then leaves a black scar. So yah, I wanna get rid of it!

And for someone whom wants results, ofcos kene lah rajin pakai skincare ni. Cos it takes effort too you know! Yes, I mmg the type kan tak suke pakai skincare. But, this I give it a go!

(Copyrights from the internet)

Tadaaa! Lyanaz Babies Blink 5 in 1.

So there is day cream, night cream, whitening serum, soap facial wash and a toner.

The toner at first I terkejut u! Cos the color is brown, and when you put it on your face, it feels cooling, macam minty2 (berangin lah gitu) and reminds me of obat batuk!

Haha. So before you put on any of the creams or serums, must put on the toner first. The day cream is yellowish in color. Bcos it protects UV rays from damaging your skin. It can be quite wet after leaving it on, so, for me,  I will just dap my face with tissue. But if you wish to put on makeup, you do not have to put on anymore concealers nor foundations! Just put a layer of powder on top of the day cream! Well, I won't deny that there is still some dark circles to be seen, but it is not that visible. I will just cover with putting on mascaras upper and lower eye lashes. That will do the trick!

So for night cream, before putting on the night cream, put on the whitening serum. From what I can say, leaving it on overnight is good cos it repairs your skin. WOW! I sound like a beauty consultant plak sekarang ni! Hahahah! Miming again, you will those water spotting after a while. Don't wipe yah! Just dap!

After a week, you will get to see some results. It depends on different skin types though. Some may take a longer process. Alhamdulillah, mine works very well.

Here it is! My complexion after a week! I put on my powder because I was heading out. Then eyeliner, mascara and blusher.

Now is almost month using it! At it is an amazing journey! Definitely will keep up with this skincare. (Until I got to know of any other recommended ones I might try!)

Its cheap from the reseller I got in SG! Yes, tak tau lah pula for Msia how much it will be to buy directly of any other resellers.

Mine was good, you should try ladies! Lag-lagi yang Wedding coming up!!!

Happy trying ya! Good things much share. ;)

XOXO

So, I left!

Yes, I left this place.
Well, its hard for me to leave, you see these photos? You will know how close I am with them.
Work place is like a second home. So, it's like a family there.
No matter, I left due to some reasons of the management.
Really, It's super hard, but if the management do not see your hard work, why stay longer?
They are pay lower wages to staffs than the market rate. Still, why do some people stay?
Those were some issues there.
You know, I worked with all departments with different styles of managing work, and I do say It's tough managing different behaviors but it was a good journey. Very good I should say!

I am very close to this chef, so far, he has maintained a good standard of food prepared in his menu. A chef I will never forget, Chef Bob Ko. I learned from him, from A to Z, from scratch to understand his menu style, his specialities etc. Hot tempered? Yes he is! But it was never reflected in his food. Very experienced and it saddens me to leave the job and him facing another person to start all over again. You're the best Chef Bob!

See how he would bully me? Yes, he always have his humour. But he cared a lot too!

This is just how much I could get snapping. There is more but unable to catch any.

But there's one thing : POLITICS AT WORK.
I capitalised this because its crucial.
Everywhere you go, anywhere you work, there will be politics.
And usually, dirty politics.

Weirdly, the politics there is not among the F&B. To much dismay, it was the from the people that keeps P&C of the staffs and ofcos Politics that came through from 'smart alecks' from the communications. Yes, i state it. They are like walking cameras. Watching every move, every word you speak. But can never take it when it is theirs to be blamed on.

If it was about closing sales dirty politics, NO. It wasn't happening there. Really. All I can say is KARMA is a beautiful thing. So, let nature takes its cause to them and make them realise it themselves.

There are a few that wants me to come back, well they know when I would come back. ;)

Badoque Cafè, Gelarè & the usual Updates

Hello everyone!

Here is just some updates.

I am pretty much busy with so many things, and of course focused a lot on Weddings and family issues.

And ever since the Baby Mikha came on board into our home, it has been hectic months now. But oh well, will need to adapt and improvise (that will be what my Fiancè would say).

Im going to just put up some photos of today. Just out with Bbyg and sister for lunch. Badoque Cafè @ Simpang Bedok. Its our first time there with Baby Mikha around Yes, we were expecting a lot on their Western cuisine. But its twisted to the taste buds of 'Melayu', spiciness. Okay, I am Melayu (We do) just we thought that maybe it was something different. Portioning was good for our food. It was actually very good portioning despite that it was a lot, Like Bbyg's main dish is good for 2 pax. Mine was just right even for sister's plate. Drinks I must say was nice! Big was really filled to her brim despite me helping to eat some of her portion (not helping her anyways, I ate just a bit cos it was not to my liking). Still, happy tummy cos its filled well.

Will bring Mr. E over next time when we have the chance cos the last time we wanted to have a try, it was closed for reno.

After which, we booked the Karaokè pretty late due to no availability for any earlier time slots, so right after returning back to my home, we then proceeded to CWP (Causeway Point) to have some dessert. Queued for Gelarè! Waffles are not my faves. Decided to try on their pancakes. Not too bad.

Tomorrow another day before Monday back to work. Chow!
